Hello, I am Olivia
I am a project manager. A parent. An expatriate based in Ottawa, Canada.
Several years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Began
Moving to Canada wasn’t part of the long-term plan. Like many expat moves, it started as a work opportunity and soon grew into something far bigger.
The early months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complicated than necessary.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines settled. We found places that fit us, met other families, and started building something that felt stable.
Why I Created Vivid Grove Crest
Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Canada.
